Round 13 game:
Brian
Willcock 1 Mike
Talbot 0 (on forfeit)
Harvey held George to a draw and only needs to avoid defeat against James next week to win the tournament. Debbie won the Maiden Trophy due to the withdrawal of Mike Talbot from his last two games. Her progress to date in this tournament indicated that winning against Mike was a formality anyway.
In other games Gavin and Brian fought out a draw while Tony won against Stuart. After playing a shocker last week, Andrew played his best game of the tournament to beat Gabby. Peter won the ‘battle of the sisters’ and emphasised this by writing “JAMES RESIGNED” in very big letters on his scoresheet.

Quote of the night:
“My private life is my
private life”
– James Hiller, at the same time as he was unintentionally exposing his midriff
and the top of an undergarment.
