For the officers of the Flat Rock Police Department, losing the department's K-9 officer, Rocco, in the line of duty would be as difficult as loss of a patrolman.

Bullet Proof Vest Keeps K-9 Officer Safe on the Job

The city's k-9 officer, Rocco, now has a bulletproof vest fit for a dog.
Thanks to the fund-raising efforts of Taylor-based Fur Angels,
the Flat Rock Police Department is no longer "the one without a canine vest."
