The Flower Capers are a band of anonymous dissidents whose chosen form of protest takes place through the confiscation of corporate flowers. The Capers have been inspired by the cultural heroes Harold and Maude, who were the first to engage in such activity with their rescue of a dying tree. We believe that the theft of pieces of corporate landscaping is not truly theft at all, but that these corporations are the ones who have stolen. The symbolic beauty and dignity of flowers is something that we will not see exploited any longer. We have decided to take back the flowers and replant them in their proper places: old folk's homes, cemetaries, parks, forests, poor neighborhoods, or any other deserving place that needs a flower. Though a main project of the Capers is to take back the flowers, we support anything else that makes these corporations a little uglier. The Harold and Maude Revolution is multi-dimensional. We support and encourage any replenishing of the dignity of society and earth. This starts on a small and non-violent scale. We have also started the Flower Caper Book Distro, in an attempt to make some inspiring and hard-to-get literature a little more available to you all. WE INVITE AND ENCOURAGE EVERYONE TO JOIN US!!!!!
