"The
European collection" As authorized agents in North America for Mr Mauro Pieroni, we are proud to offer his exclusive and inseparable collection of 25 hand sculptured Coats of Arms. Representing each of the member nations of the European Community. This masterpiece of art has taken over 6 years to create and is due for completion in February of 2004. We feel this collection is of interest to museums, companies, banks, international institutions, and the private collector. Each one is historically and accurately carved by hand in aged wood, then finished in heraldic colours, and finally embellished with 24-carat gold and 1000-silver leaf, in a style reminiscent of the gilding masters of the Renaissance period. This unique collection embraces all of the European nations on a common level, artistically representing their history, culture and tradition. Each sculpture measures roughly 36'' high x 32'' to 50'' wide x 6.5'' thick. As an internationally established Heraldic sculptor in his own right, Mr Pieroni counts amongst his commissions, H. M. Queen Elizabeth II, George Bush, the Pope, as well as countless heads of state and members of Royal households across Europe. His knowledge and love of his art began when he was 14 and is reflected in each work that bears his signature. 15 are shown below, prior to the addition of colour and gilding.
