The Concert Singers
The Concert Singers is a community choir based in the Westchester area of Los
Angeles, which performs concerts several times a year, consisting of music in
various styles from renaissance to classical to pop to vocal jazz. The
organization was founded in 1948 under the auspices of the Los Angeles Bureau of
Music. Since the changes in public funding since the passage of
Proposition 13, The Concert Singers has been on its own as an independent
nonprofit organization.
The Concert singers normally perform three concerts which the organization
produces, typically a concert of seasonal music in the winter, a classical
program in the spring, and a vocal jazz concert with ice cream social in the
summer.

This spring love is in the air as The Concert Singers present songs of love
and nature. From Daniel Pinkham's Wedding Cantata to
Johannes Brahms Liebeslieder Wälzer (Lovesong Waltzes), this is a
concert everyone will fall in love with. Come celebrate the joys of
love and the loveliness of nature!

The Concert Singers finish off their 60th Anniversary Season with a
celebration of Broadway and Jazz music from the last 60 years.
Selections will include favorites from Cole Porter, George & Ira
Gershwin, plus new favorites from recent Broadway shows! And be sure
to come before the concert starts for ice cream and treats for the whole
family!
