It’s in his genes – on his mother’s side, to be exact. John’s mom’s great
uncle was a Broadway pianist during the ‘20s and ‘30s; John’s grandfather,
Vincent "Pinzy" Amen, was a well-known Pittsburgh-area mandolin player; and a
cousin, Ron Anthony, played guitar in Frank Sinatra’s band for years.
