Member of the Legion of Galactic Guardians 2099 II. Born in the twentieth century, Mig-El Gand was shot by the Scavulture’s Neron Claw while trying to help Spider-Boy. In order to save Mig-El’s life, Spider-Boy sent him into the Phantom Negative Zone to remain in stasis. Mig-El remains in the Phantom Negative Zone for 100 years until he is pulled out by Martinex 5 who cures him with a spider DNA serum developed by Spider-Boy in the past. Inspired by the acts of the hero who saved his life in the past, Mig-El becomes Spider Boy 2099. Years of exposure to the transchronal energies of the Phantom Negative Zone enable Spider-Boy 2099 to transport to limbo.
"Mig-El Gand" is a combination of Spider-Man 2099's name of Miguel, M'Onel's real name of Lar Gand, and Mon-El, the name of M'Onel's Silver Age incarnation. STU
