John Clyde Marshall DAUPHINEE



DAUPHINEE, John Clyde Marshall - 51, passed away in the VG Site, QEII, peacefully with family at his side Saturday, September 10, 2005, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Halifax, he was the only son of John "Jack" and Daisy Dauphinee, Tantallon.John attended Five Island Lake School and graduated, with honours, from Sir John A. MacDonald High School, 1972. He then attended Vocational Community College and graduated with his degree in electronics. As a young boy he attended St. Margaret's Anglican Church, Tantallon.

John joined MT&T in 1974 and continued his employment with Aliant until the time of his death. He started with central office and equipment installation, went onto the mobile shop and then cellular. John became the mobility manager for network operations, then went onto a technical support role in his last couple years. During his career he traveled all across North America both for training and conferences. John's dedication to his job, knowledge and his great sense of humour will be missed by all.

He is survived by loving and devoted wife, Germaine; daughter, Tina (Sean), Ottawa, Ont.; sons, John and Jeff, both at home; Papa to Justin and Halie; stepsons, Michael (Summer), Dartmouth; Jason (Tammy), Dartmouth; Nicholas, at home; sisters, Marilyn (Gary), St. Margaret's Bay; Beverly (Ed), Terence Bay; Karen(Mike), Timberlea; niece, Sarah; nephews, Matthew, Christopher; extended family, Joseph (Cavell), Steven (Celene), Bill (Cheryl); several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sister,Carolyn Dianne.

Visitation will be held today from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor St., Halifax. Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in St. James Anglican Church (Armdale Rotary), Rev. Mark Marshall will officiate. Burial in St. Margaret's Church Cemetery, Tantallon. Reception to follow in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Tantallon.Donations to the B.C.P. (Book of Common Prayer), St. Margaret's Anglican Church, Tantallon, or the Canadian Cancer Society.
