Marvel Famous Covers: "Bring on the Bag Guys" Carnage (2000)

Famous Covers Carnage review by justin anderson

the desription: Carnage was an interesting addition to the Famous Covers series, and one of the late additions, being part of the 2-figure Diamond exclusive wave titled "Bring on the Bad Guys". Carnage was paired with Red Skull for this series.

the design: Based on the cover of ASM 361, the figure is the same basic "base" body the line has used, with visible red hands. The costume is full body, shiny red with black markings.

Oddly, the suit has a collar.... small bits of shaped red platic are sewn to the costume to simulate tendrils, but doesn't work as well as it probably did on paper. It looks like he has small red worms crawling all over him. The head is a new sculpt, with the teeth being more prominent this time, sculpted with gums around the edges. The mouth is hollow, with a pink lining. The eyes are also sunk into the head slightly.

Regardless of the look, these facial features don't match the comic cover the box claims it's based on.

the articulation: The figure boasts the same 14 joints all other figures have. No accessories, at least, none are mentioned on the package (I haven't opened mine to check). And so far, accessories for Famous Covers figures have been on prominent display through the box window.

the review: Really for Famous Covers collectors or Carnage enthusiasts. **** of *****
