Spider-Man: The Animated Series Carnage (1994)
review by justin anderson
the desription:
the articulation: The neck, shoulders, elbows, hips, waist, and knees bend, for a
total of 10 joints.
the design: Being the first Carnage figure, it was actually well done. No tendrils
at all, but made up for by the fact
the swirls were molded into the costume(a standard all true Carnage figure molds
would follow). The toy is a dark red
with black swirls and white eyes. But, the teeth are white. Fairly odd, since
AFAIK, Carnage has never had white teeth.
The toy came with 3 "weapon arms"- a claw, axe, and a symbiotic blob. Each could
clip onto either wrist. An action
feature was built in to go with this. Rotating the waist moves the right arm for
a "punching action", driven by a few
internal gears. A lever on the back acts as a place to rest your thumb to work
this gimmick.
The figure stands 5" tall.
the review:
I've had this thing since release, and it still shows no signs of paint wear or
damage. As a first figure, it set a
standard for the other Carnage figures to come out. **** out of *****
