This is a page dedicated to my father
              Andrew K Rogers Sr.
Like my mom my father was young when I was born. Only at the age of 22, I wasn't a planned child but I was loved by mom and dad just the same. He was a drummer for a band in Columbia and from what I have been told, he was verry very good. As many problems arose for one reson or the next my mom and dad desided to be friends and they divorced when I was 18 months old. My father was still a big part of my life and was there whenever mom needed him. My father had a respect for everyone he met, in fact he never met a stranger. He was loved my many people and he loved his preformance cars. His favorite car of all times was the Pontiac GTO. (aka Goat) He knew his way around under a hood and you could always bet his would be the fastest car for miles around. He loved to get out and drag race on the streets of Columbia TN. He didnt care who ya was or what you was driving He knew he would win. In fact his favorite GTO had so much Kick, he got on it one day a little to hard and worped the frame. He too had a love for God, to hear my aunt tell it there will never be another that could play drums as well as he at the church. I can reflect back on the time I was around my father and never was there a bad memory to recall. On the night of October, 3 1982, 10 days before his 31st. birthday he was killed in a car crash by the hands of a drunk driver. Many storys have been told to the truth of that night, But one story is the truth and lets just say it wasnt truley an accedent.

In the words of the song I dedicate to you   " The Leadar of the band is tierd and his eyes are growing old, But his Blood runs threw my Instrument and his song is in my soul. My life has been a poor attempt, to imitate the man. Im just a living legacey to the leader of the band." May your song live on in my heart forever-more my father. Your still deeply loved by many as well as missed. I love you,
