Outside the factory of Ka 'Mang

Is Industrialization the future of Furcadia? Story by TFN The smoke and soot in the air overwhelmed my nose.  The smog limited my vision and made my eyes water.  The sign read “Welcome to the Industrial City of Ralgus. Ralgus Industries is a wholly owned sub ranch of the Airship Corporation." And in stylized letters below is the motto "bringing you a better future with the light of reasoning!"

Was this a sign of the times as well? This was the dream of Ka’ Mang, President of Airship Corporations, located in the Imaginarium.  A furr that displays his wealth with his dress, and his utter contempt for the environment with the pollution his weapon’s factory produces.  The forest that was once home to druids is now a dying wasteland of stunted shrubs, and the druids forced out by the armed guards that now guard his factory.  When asked if he felt any remorse for ruining the forest and driving he druids from it, Ka’ Mang’s answer was “The price of a few benefits the many.”

When asked, his wife Gin Blossom -- experience dream weaver and creator of the Rainshire Patch and they Galleon Ship patch -- was aware of the existence of the factory, but not of the displacement of the druids. Her knowledge of her husband’s activities was strangely vague and limited.

The true extent of the damage done can not be calculated due to the lack of investigators for his sort of thing, and the druids that once called this forest home could not be located.  Anywhere.  It was an ominous sign for this reporter.  More ominous than the one that greeted me at the entrance to a dream.

Is this the true cost of progress?
