We have been a band for about a month now, and we have
had only two practices as a full band (all 4 of us)
and a couple practices of me, Matt and Charlie.
So far, we have about 10 songs.
Some of them completed, some of them works in progress,
but all of them, I feel, are of great quality.
All killer, no filler!!!
I have to say that it has been a completely positive experience playing in this band with these guys.
Songwriting is a very fun process in this band.
Everyone contributes to the songs,
and I feel, as a result, the songs are better because of it.
I feel very fortunate to be playing with such talented and nice people
in Matt, Scot and Charlie.
I have had previous playing experience with Charlie,
when he was the drummer for Controlled Chaos,
a band that consisted of myself, Charlie and Jon Zimprich.
I have had (and still have) experience of playing with
Matt and Scot in Heavensgate.
Matt is a very talented bass player and singer,
who melds very well in the context of the band.
He is very good at coming up with harmony melodies,
and is also a great songwriter in his own right.
Charlie is a multi-instrumentalist extraordinare,
who is equally at home playing guitar, singing or playing the drums.
He is a very talented songwriter and great guitar player.
Due to other commitments in his life, Scot left The Far Red.
The split was amicable. The Far Red collectively wishes Scot
the best of luck in the future, as his incredible drumming talents
are missed greatly.
Other than that, music to me is about writing good songs and having fun.
