THE EYE KNOWS

Grant's Eye on the World

It's time to find out what happened in Iraq. Looks like they're going to play games, but then, what would you expect from the United Nations. If you've watched my rants over the years you would see my dislike of this socialist organization. So if it were up to me - bombs away!!!!

Thanks Billie-bob, you are a real pal

The dummocrats lost big time in the recent elections and have failed to identify the reason why. Guess who's doing the consoling work here.

Clinton Eases Democratic Pain; Dec 3, 2002, Foxnews.com
Anyone have any idea of who is running the Democratic Party?

Former President Bill Clinton laid out the Democratic battle plan Tuesday in a speech to moderate Democrats in which he critiqued what went wrong on Election Day.
For someone who knows squat about a battle, we hear his words of wisdom(?).

Echoing the recent media criticism by former Vice President Al Gore and Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle of South Dakota, Clinton partly blamed Democratic defeats on what he believes is a Republican-influenced media. However, he cited only the Wall Street Journal by name.
Right, the media is really republican influenced. Anyone here not laughing yet?

"The problem with our message was that to weak Democrats and independents, we were MIA on national security and we had no positive plan for America's domestic future. It's not fair to say we were missing in action on national security. The Democrats supported the president in the war against terror."
No positive plan? Since when did they ever have a positive plan? No the real problem was the people running the Party.

Referring to the recently established Cabinet-level Homeland Security Department, Clinton said the administration has to do more than just reorganize the government. It has to put forward plans like those proposed by Democrats that are aimed at protecting the nation's bridges, tunnels and infrastructure from would-be terrorist attacks.
How can this man even get up and speak about this. How many attacks were carried out against America while this boob was in office? Anyone ever ask the question what he did about them?

Clinton was reflective and philosophical in his off-the-cuff, hour-long speech in which he spoke on topics ranging from tax cuts to the Peace Corps. He said that while Iraq is clearly an important issue, the more pressing priority is the threat to the nation posed by Al Qaeda and pointed to the recent attacks in Kenya and the bombing of a Bali nightclub as proof of their continued strength.
From the man who turned down 3 free offers for trashBin Laden even while he was atop the FBIs most wanted criminal's list. Anyone feel better after he pumped up the party and eased their pain? Didn't think so.

What do YOU like about the French?

Other than surrender, what are the French noted for?

Author Of 9/11 Conspiracy Book To Visit NYC, US; AP; December 2, 2002
Other than foie gras, what are the French noted for?

A French author who suggests that the Sept. 11 attacks were concocted by a faction of the U.S. military is planning to promote his book on a tour that will begin in New York City.
I'm sure that some people do believe this. Probably less than the number of people who visit this site though.

The dates have not been finalized yet, according to Asad Lalljee, of USA Books, but the publicity blitz is likely to include interviews with several major television news shows that have expressed interest. The tour also may include speaking engagements, Lalljee said.
Anyone wonder just which tv news stations will pick this idiot up for an interview? Well I guess ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN will. But nobody watches these news channels any more anyway.

In the book, Meyssan suggests that the attacks were schemed in order to promote a U.S. military agenda that included waging war in Afghanistan.
The left wing conspiracy theorists at work. Just who in their right mind can actually even consider this?

Meyssan, an activist with his own left-wing association called the "Voltaire Network," says he did not actually travel to the United States to investigate his theories, but had researchers working for him. He said much of his book is based on public documents, newspaper articles and the Internet.
You forgot Broom Hillary's photo op holding the newspaper headline - Bush Knew! Frog legs anyone? What else do the French eat? Crow?

Anyone really think the U.N. can do anything?

Governments all over the world all have the same thing in common - they are inefficient and cannot do anything right. Now what would one think of an organization made up of nothing but governments?

Some Material to Be Kept Secret in Iraq Weapons Report; Foxnews.com/AP; Dec 6, 2002
So here is the latest report on the Iraqi disclosure of WMDs. It is now being updated hourly and I'm sure by the time this commentary is posted, this will be obsolete news. The story might be obsolete, but the point of the commentary is valid forever.

U.N. weapons inspectors will keep secret all sensitive material on nuclear, chemical and biological weapons contained in a massive declaration that Iraq will turn over this weekend, Chief Inspector Hans Blix said on Friday. The United States and other Security Council members will not be allowed to view the entire declaration, Blix said.
Now really folks, does not everyone see something a little strange here? I mean, come on, they will hold all of this secret.

Blix told a news conference that he understood the Iraqi report would be in Arabic and English and contain more than 10,000 pages, which would require translation before an initial assessment could be made on which material is sensitive.
Ahh, how is it possible that it takes 10,000 pages to report nothing? "Ok children tomorrow's homework is a theme on why you don't like to come to school in ten thousand pages."

"We said again and again that we have no more destruction weapons at all, everything has been destroyed and we have no intention to do that again," the Iraqi envoy said. "If the Americans have this evidence, they have to tell the inspectors in Iraq to go find this evidence."
Gee now, that wasn't hard. The writers of this article provided the report in 50 words. Someone tell me how or why it takes 10,000 pages or more to report nothing.

Blix denied that he was under any pressure from the United States, but stressed that Resolution 1441 adopted Nov. 8 to toughen U.N. inspections asks all 191 U.N. member states to provide information to help inspectors search for banned weapons.
Get the feeling that the U.N. doesn't really want to find anything?

"We are not going to abduct anybody, and we're not serving as a defection agency," Blix said.
I have a question for the UN. What have you done about this the last 12 years? I guess we can't say you've been overly severe. I think I'll vote light. Oh by the way, as I said in the opening to this commentary - Bombs Away!!!!!!!!!!

So, How do you like crow, Eye?

Just serve it to me on a stick, lightly skewered, easy on the onions and lots of mushrooms.

Landrieu Wins Louisiana Senate Race; Dec 7, 2002; Foxnews.com/AP
That pretty much says it all. I had predicted a Republican win. Guess the voters wanted to balance things out a little more.

With 98 of precincts reporting, Landrieu had 624,214 votes, or 52 percent, and Terrell had 587,423, or 48 percent.
I admit I miscalled it. But then again, I didn't miscall the November elections. The Republicans are still in control. Let's hope we don't have any more ship jumpers.
