Summary : : Ten years after leaving school, Jimmy Muir's dream of playing football for the Sheffield United Blades is dust. He works in a brewery, lives at home with his abusive father, and his life is going nowhere. His chance comes around after he meets Annie, a new employee at the brewery. As their relationship grows, Jimmy's football dream is revived, as he is picked to play for a non-league team. When Jimmy is offered the chance to try out for the Blades, his life seems to be turning around. But a surprise announcement from Annie, and a personal tragedy in Jimmy's family are too much for Jimmy to bear. It is a moving journey as Jimmy tries to rise above his personal demons and become the man he was meant to be.

Review : : No surprises in this movie, it runs just as you would think it will, but that's okay. You want the perfect ending once in a while, and a little angst never hurt anyone. Pete Postlethwaite was a great supportive character as Ken Jackson, and Emily Lloyd was wonderful. *Ahem* And of course, the group bathtub scene....
