Description:
  To provide a generic remote connectivity to the intelligent systems
in the hospital. To provide and configure a PC based router at the
hospital.
Role:
   Configured for a PPP connection between Sun system and a PC in
hospital running Linux OS. Developed network applications which
provided generic connectivity which is reusable to other target
systems. Reconfigured the Linux kernel to enable proxy support
and to support specific ethernet cards.

Description:
   Enhancements in existing connectivity application running in DOS.
The connectivity is from Sun systems in service center to PC in the
hospitals. 
Role:
   Ported third party serial ports library (provided by Silverware
communications Inc.) to a new 8 serial ports controller based on
NS16C552. Provided various additional features in the application
both running in DOS and Sun.

Project : Retargetable Compiler for C*
Institution: Indian Institute of Science, INDIA

Description and Role:
   C* is a powerful language (which is superset of C) designed for
parallel algorithms. The backend was developed which takes the 
intermediate code (which is tree) and produces the assembly code
for MIPS RISC R3000 processor. The dynamic tree pattern matching 
algorithm was used for code generation. The compiler is retargetable.
The tree translation scheme has to be specified for retargeting.
