Who Am I ?
Hello people... this is too philosophical question. I will reserve
some heavy philosophical aspects of this question later.
Now, a simple introduction: I grew up in southern part of India. I specialized in computer science for my masters and have been
working as software professional ever since.
This is my orkut page.

Profession i.e. What I do for living:

My Resume
My Favorite Quote From Philosopher J. Krishnamurty:
Freedom is not a reaction; freedom is not choice. It is man's pretence that
because he has choice he is free. Freedom is pure observation without
direction, without fear of punishment and reward. Freedom is without motive;
freedom is not at the end of the evolution of man but lies in the first
step of his existence. In observation one begins to discover the lack of
freedom. Freedom is found in the choiceless awareness of our daily existence
and activity.
-- J. Krishnamurti
Guys ...
Okay... that is bit of my intro above ...
If you are still reading this, chances are that you will
find it interesting to read the rest!
Anyway, thanks for dropping in ...
If I don't know you, I would love to. Don't forget to drop me
a line later!
Now to some heavy stuff....
Now that you are in my home page, let me tell something about me. I hate
to tell about myself, because I always love to listen to
others than talking. Well, I am most interested in philosophy, and I always
contemplate on the ever unclear questions like what is god?, what is nature ?
what is right ? what is wrong? what is consciousness ? what is space ?
what is time ? what is perception ? Among all these what is absolute ? and
what is relative ? Does absolutely absoluteness exist ? I have never reached
any clarity, but I have atleast a clarity that I am not clear.
My favorite Philosopher ....
I like great philosophers like J. Krishnamurti, though I dont get
addicted, attracted, surrendered to any kind of philosophies and ideas and
personalities. JK doesn't sound like a teacher, he arouses some interesting
lines of thoughts. You may like to follow some of my favorite links to
know more about him.
Ego, Understanding, Consciousness ...
It is the self respect (not the ego) and the equal respect to each and every
human beings and animals which leads to the smooth path on the effort to
investigate the ultimate truth. Any philosophy is the reflection of the
consciousness and has more value than the philosopher who said it, and
every consciousness has the capability to explore by itself without
being directed.
Vegetarianism and Love For Animals ....
I believe in loving animals and Vegetarianism, it is good for health and
mind. It is miserable, I believe that, we kill animals for food mainly
because the whole world does it. We are totally biased by our environment ,
and almost lost our absolute natural thinking. Please check some of my links
on Vegetarianism. More than the killing, the way they get killed is
really miserable. We have law for humans, but no law to protect the rights
of animals.
Who Am I ? (Revisited) ...
Did you notice something ? As I talk, all the feelings are centered
around the sense of "I", and "I" and "I". If something is absolute, it is
only the sense of "I" by which everything else is relatively defined.
It is the center of Nisargadatta Maharaja's (an Indian Philosopher) philosophy.
If you find that interesting, check out my link.
On hypocrisy, illusion, existence, etc ....
With all these inconsistencies and conflicts and hypocrisy,
I, as anybody else, exist in this world, which I guess, is an illusion.
I remember my
friend saying, if all these are illusions and really everything is void,
then the existence of the illusion is a reality. So reality is not void
which contains illusion. Pretty convincing/confusing arguement... :-)
Bye for now...
With Love & Peace,
thava
