Some pictures explaining how we catch and examine the habitat preferences of small mammals and reptiles. Volunteers will undertake similar activities as shown.
Two landsystems/habitats are being examined. The Buchanan Sandplain (left) and the rocky Wickham Uplands (right)
Pitfall traps (above) are used to catch small mammals and reptiles. Cage traps and Elliott traps are also used.
