#1 Group in the World!
In 1967, the British magazine, New Musical Express took its annual poll to find out who the top group in the world was. The winner of this poll, after the release of the sensational song,"Good Vibrations", was non other that The Beach Boys. This was the first time since 1964 that a group beat the Beatles as the top group in the world. The Beach Boys beat the Beatles 5373 votes to 5272 votes. Also in this poll, Brian Wilson was voted #4 musical personallity in the world.
