HUMMINGBIRD LINKS

Welcome to the Gaburo family homepage. We hope you enjoy your visit with our family.
My name is Terry and my husband's name is Richard. We live in the lone star state of Texas.
We have always wanted to find a way to keep in touch with family and friends and having our own homepage is one of the best ways we know how.
Just to share a little about our family. Richard and I have been married for 37 years. We have 3 grown daughters, who are all have blessed us with 8 grandchildren.
Here they are!

What a darling bunch of grandchildren don't you think? They are our pride and joys!
We have found such joy in being grandparents. Let me name them for you. First there is our high school cheerleader Kayla who is 15 yrs. old. Next is our baseball little leaguer T.J. who is 10 yrs. old. Followed by our little darling Kelsie who is 11 yrs. old. Brandon is next our handsome oldest grandson who is 15 yrs. old. Could never imagine life without our sweet little Bethany who is 9 yrs. old. And last but not least is our little princess cheerleader Ashleigh who is 12 yrs. old. Never a dull moment around the Gaburo house!
Our new additions caring Jordan who is 9 and little miss (Everythings GOOD!) Sydney 7.

My husband Richard worked for the same glass company for 37 years and retired December of 1998. We are enjoying just being together each day and the little things in life. Like our faith in God, our family, watching the hummingbirds, working in our flower and rose gardens and last but not least, the wonderful fellowship of our friends.

I am a country crafter and enjoy painting on wood and hatboxes. Painting is a favorite past time, good for expressing myself and releasing lives daily stresses. Lastly I am a collector at heart. Some of my favorite things to collect are. Angels, lighthouses of the U.S.A., porcelain hinged boxes.

To udate our homepage. We have news that we need to share with everyone. In 1999, Terry was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and Lupus. For anyone that knows of these diseases, they can be a very trying time for family and loved ones and we could use your prayers and ask you to keep our family on your prayer list. We know God is at work in our lives and we thank everyone who has called, sent cards and just be-friended us through your e-mails. You have all touched our hearts and lives in a very special way. We could never thank you enough for the love you have shown.

Be should to let anyone you know there is Hope and help and places here on the Web to find answers and also some good help for those who really care about what is happening in your lives. Together we can make a difference one day at a time.

Above you will find links for Multiple Sclerosis and Lupus. They are some of the places I have found comfort and help through medical news and special friends that have shared their stories and concerns.

God Bless you all from the bottom of our heart!

An update on The Gaburo Family. It is now 2008 and Terry is still struggling at times with her MS and Lupus. She has now been diagnosis with Pulmonary Hypertension that is caused by her Lupus But she is determined not to let it get her down and take away her hope or faith. She continues to has to use oxygen to breath. But we were able to get her a portable unit and she can go shopping at her favorite store Walmart! LOL! Hi eveyone! This is Terry :0) Priase the Lord I'm still able to walk and get around with my cane at time and my walker at other times. So many have asked for me to upday out paper and would you believe, I had forgotten how to even get to the page to edit it. So, I'm just updating the written part and when I can get the grandchildrens picture uploaded you will get to see how much they have all grown. Our two oldes grandchildren have graduated from high school and are now in their second year of college. Kayla wants to be a Veterinarian and is now going to college part time and volunteering at the animal contol clinic to get in her volunterring hours as part of her studies. Brandon is going to college in Iowa and he was to restore older cars and work on computers. He got his PopPop's 1987 Monte Carlo for graduation and he is always updating it and loves to look for parts for the car as they no longer make the parts, so, he has to search on the Internet and try to find the parts that way. He has already had the car in 3 auto shows and he has a great time at them showing off his car. He takes pride in it and doesn't even want to drive it in the winter so the salt in Iowa won't damage it.Hopefully after graduation from college he will be able to work more and get a second car so he can keep the Monte for just a show car. We have our Ashleigh in the 11th grade now and she is already for college wanting to do crimmal Justice and want to be a forenic investigator. Wow! I don't know if I could do that. But it's her dream and we will encourage her as long as she has that dream. TJ, Ashleigh's brother wants to run a ranch with cattle and he is in the 4-H program at high school and just today got for rabbits he has to raise for the year. Bless his heart! He has stuck to his dream for his life since he was just a little boy with his cowboy boots and hat and his big belt buckle on his belt and his Wragles on. I know he will be great at it as it's work he loves to do when he stays with one of his buddies who's family owns a ranch. Bethany, Brandon's sister has entered high school this year and she has plenty of time to decide what she want so do with her life. Right now she is just happy to be in high school and make good grade that will help her down the road to be the best at whatever she want to be. Our middle daughter Leeann remarried this past year to her hubby Robin and they still live in Iowa. Robin just received a prestigious reward for his work with computers and he will be going to California to receive his reward next month. We are very proud of him and all of his accomplishment he has made in the las few year since coming into our family. He is a wonderful Father to his two children and our step grandchildren Jordan and Sidney and he love Bethany and Brandon like is own and that is what makes Richard and I happy, to see our children and grandchildren happy. Richard and I were able to travel to Panama City, Fl. with our oldest daughter and her family for TJ's last baseball tournament, as he will be playing high school baseball this year. We had wonderful time and if you ever get over that way, it is a really nice place to stay on vacation. We got to go snokeling and diving for sand dollars and we had a ball! I wasn't able to stay out very long as I needed my oxygen, but it was just fun to get in the Gulf of Mexico on the Florida side. We usually got to Galveston, TX. side when we go to visit our oldest daughter in Houston. We collected 13 sand dollars and we never knew they are green and fuzzy when you pick them up off the bottom of the gulf. You have to let them dry out and then bleach them with 1 part bleach to 4 parts water to make them turn white. So, it was another memory we built together. This was a very changing year for our oldest daughter as she turned 40! Wow! and the bad thing about it was I turned 60 in August LOL! We both keep saying it's just a number LOL! But the gray hairs on our head are telling us we are getting old for me and older for her LOL! We are still trusting God for healing, but most of all trusting in His love and care for all of our family and friends. I still thank God everyday for my hubby Richard. We celebrated our 41 wedding anniversary and we just enjoy doing the same things we always have as a couple. Breakfast together. Going to church together and being with our children and grandchildren. I know it's been a hard year for a lot of people around the USA. But I know if we keep our faith in God and keep telling others about the love of Jesus, God will bless our country when we learn it's the little things in life that count. Not the big car and the new large homes and that second get away home on an Island somewhere. We have our 5 foot above ground pool in our backyard and it's paridise to us except when we have to cut all the grass LOL! I pray all who read this know that life is what you make it and how you allow God to mold it. Even MS and Lupus and tired lungs can't stop us from loving each other. That's what family and friends are for. And Richard and I consider you all very dear friends to our hearts for all your kindness and prayers you have writen in our guestbook. You help to give us courage to stay the course God has chosen for us and we just want to thank you and God bless you from the bottom of our hearts. We never have to fear tomorrow with Jesus in our hearts. Jesus hold our tomorrows and He will keep us save each day. God bless and hope to see you all back again. Please sign the guest book so Terry will know you have been to our homepage. Love from the Gaburo family.
