Aquariums are becoming more and more popular in this day in age, mainly because aquarium technology is booming with new ideas and products all the time.  However if there is one little issue that a fishkeeper cannot fix, they give up. This is the main reason why people stop keeping fish.           The main thing to consider when getting fish is if you will be responsible and will be able to take care of the tank.  A good amount of research should be done before attempting your first tank or a new style.  Books, magazines, and websites are great places to find information pertaining to your topic.
