South Carolina's logo, smiling faces - beautiful places,  is very true. The state offers a variety of landscapes: beaches, beautifully preserved antebellum mansions, lovely gardens, numerous golf courses, rolling hills in the midlands and just a touch of mountains in the upstate.

Most of the focus will be on the lowcountry, which is Charleston and its environs. Charleston is well labeled the most historic city. There is a touch of the past along the streets in the old part of the city where one can almost hear the carriage wheels turning on the cobblestone pavement.
