I don't know where I came from, but in October 2002 I turned up in the Prince George pound. Things were looking pretty sketchy for a bit there until I was rescued by Mary and Shannon
I'm very friendly!
They sent me to stay with Rob, Nicole and Cody in North Vancouver, but that's a foster home, and I need to find a real home really soon!
I'm loose in the house whenever anyone's around and I'm pretty trustworthy!
When I first broke out of the pound I was pretty much a savage. I was a bit aggressive towards other dogs, I didn't share well, I counter-surfed, didn't come when I was called and I also, well, um, how do I put this delicately? Well, I crapped in the house occasionally ;-)

All that changed, though, when Rob cracked a book called "Ruff Love" by Susan Garret (go buy it!). Anyway, now I sit, stay, go in my crate, wait to be fed, wait to go outside, wait to come in, chase balls, share with Cody, and generally behave pretty well. I have a pretty good recall, but if I get too excited I have to admit that a lot of my training seems to go out the window. I guess that's a product of my mispent youth!
Anyway, I need a home with a person who is willing to spend some time to train me. I learn pretty fast, and I'm very willing to please. I'm familiar with clicker training and I've sort of got the hang of it. I have a good attitude and I get along with other dogs quite well. I eat raw food and I get fed in the same small room as Cody and we never fight and I don't try to steal her food anymore (Rob was a little touchy about that - go figure!)
Do you like to fish? I do!
As close as I can tell I'm about 14 months old, I weigh 38 pounds, I'm black and white, I'm spayed and I'm ready to go!
