My daughter Laura, has the syndrome. We have known from her bith which was 29 years ago. We were fortunate that her very first doctor was an optomistic person that told us wisely to enjoy Laura and take one day at a time. She is mildy retarded and is a le to hold a job. Her health has given us some trouble mainly from not having her problems resolved. Would you believe it took two years for them to come up with gastric reflux, and that was after I told them what tests to run. I was able to do that af er talking with the wonderful people at the foundation. Laura didn't have stomach problems until she was 15. I just wanted to say I understand about the love you talk abouth with our children. I wouldn't have had it any other way then to have the daughter we have. Marie Ginter
