"The band" started in November 2000. At the time though, it was just Matt and Jack (Introduced by Ollie, who later became the singer) playing small riffs, in "the shed" in the bottom of Jack's garden. But at the time, they thought it seemed pretty obvious that they needed a singer, so they found a tramp on the side of the road, but he charged them to much money, so they settled with Ollie.

Ollie's unique style of singing is suited to punk and metal music, soon after the wonderous J.D joined the band, bringing a fuller sound. His bass lines were developing each week, into something, I..N..C..R..E..D..I..B..L...E!

Soon the band (Anachist Space Dogs, as they were called then) had their first song completed song, Heatherwood. Matt's pre-mature songwriting skills were soon to develop to a professional standard.

The band, changed their name to "Punkture." Soon after, the band decided they needed a heavier sound to their music, which brought Tarun into the picture.

This was just in time for their first gig, now called "Alien'8" the band were to play infront of their year at the school disco, how pathetic. It went as a dissaster for the band, giving them a band reputation, which still haunts them today.

The next phase the band went through was a good one, completing a song nearly every practise. Nothing happened for a while till they were offered a gig at a hall in North Ascot. They had a good set, and the gig went well for the band, some of their friends were there, helping their nearly hopeless reputatuion. Soon after word got out, and Ten Pound Short (As they are now called) started to have a well deserved reputation as The best band in their school.

Again, nothing happened for a while, until the sacred day came, the most eagerly anticipated and significant moment for TPS as it currently stands, that day was New Year's Eve 2001. The band's most important gig to date, it was as Matt's House, the sacred grounds. The gig went superbly, all though Jack suffered a slight injury to his right leg. They played with an immense line up, including All For You and Bottom Dollar. This gig led up to steal the crown as the most significant part of the band's history, a gig at the rock club, The Pegasus. Although the gig has been delayed, and the band are going through a tough time i.e Ollie hitting Matt round the face, they still stand strong.
