Biography
Eric Perkins has appeared as a tenor soloist in many prestigious opera houses in the United States, including Lyric Opera Chicago, Houston Grand Opera, San Diego Opera, Greater Miami Opera, Lyric Opera of Kansas City, Toledo Opera, Chautauqua Opera, Augusta Opera, Des Moines Metro Opera, and San Francisco Opera.  He has also performed with the symphony orchestras of Houston, Toledo, Chautauqua, Bowling Green, Fox Valley, and the New Philharmonic.

Mr. Perkins' warm, rich tenor fills the largest of halls easily.   Not only is he comfortable singing standard operatic repertoire, he is quite at home on stage in 20th century productions.  He was hand picked by Carlisle Floyd for his role in the world premiere of
The Passion of Jonathan Wade.  Mr. Floyd was so impressed he expanded a scene for Mr. Perkins.   He also appeared in the world premiere of Robert Moran's Desert of Roses

In addition, Mr. Perkins has received the Shoshana Foundation's Richard F. Gold Career Grant and the Eleanor McCullom Career Award.  He is also a Metropolitan Opera Regional Award winner and a semi-finalist in the MacAllister Awards.
