Jerry and mandolin player David Grisman worked on several recording projects with each other, including "Jerry Garcia & David Grisman" in 1991 and  "Not for Kids Only" in 1993. Grisman is also featured on some of Jerry's early solo albums.
Organist Merl Saunders recorded with Jerry as far back as the early 70's on some of Jerry's solo works.  Jerry is featured on Merl's Blues From the Rain Forest" CD which was released in 1998.
Some of My Favorite Music By Solo Jerry
Cats Under the Stars (1978) featuring the songs "Reuben and Cherise", "Rhapsody in Red" and the title track "Cats Under the Stars."  Keith and Donna Godchaux are among the musicians who played with Jerry on this one.
Jerry Garcia Almost Acoustic Band: Almost Acoustic (1988 ) brings back the country and bluegrass sound that Jerry loved.  "Ripple", "Spike Driver Blues", "I'm Here to Get My Baby Out of Jail" and more tunes are on this album.  I love "Diamond Joe" and Jerry's rendition of "Swing Low Sweet Chariot".
Jerry Garcia Band is a double live CD that is one of my favorites of all time by any artist.  It includes "Simple Twist of Fate", "Deal", "My Sisters and Brothers", "Senor", and "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down" to name a few.   The band consisted of John Kahn, Melvin Seals, David Kemper, and vocalists Gloria Jones and Jackie LaBranch.
