Description: James Palmer is a skilled and experienced fence and jewelry appraiser, with a vast network of contacts in the black market, ranging from Crockport to Chendl to Dyvers to Greyhawk City and into the Urnst States. He has never served any jail time, largely due to his abilities to lie, forge- or outright buy- his way out of trouble.
Palmer is one of the wealthiest men in both Chendl and Greyhawk City, but since he keeps most of his wealth well-hidden, he pays very little in taxes and is rarely ever the target of criminal activity. In any event, he knows the guildmasters of many thieving organizations i the western Flanaess, so usually his problems come from non-guild thieves (who are quickly caught and dealt with even more quickly).
Palmer is out to make money, but will not stick his neck out for others if the reward is at the expense of someone else coming to harm. He is a thief, but a principled one in that regard, and is rumored to give substantial sums (though anonymously) to local good priestly orders and charities ranging from Crockport to Almor.
