Meridiani Planum

A view of the lander after the rover has diven away from it. You can see tire tracks in the foreground. The peculiar vertical shapes near the center of the lander are caused by sunlight glinting off of shiny metalic parts. Both halves of the stereoscopic camera captured this glint and the result is a false image. There is really nothing there - it's an illusion.
