Carol Burnett guest-stars as country singer Ozark Annie.
She accidentally swallows a KAOS transmitter disguised as
an olive, and Max must protect her from KAOS before they
cut the olive out. To complicate matters, Annie develops
a crush on Max. Burnett is brilliant and her scenes with
Adams are some of the funniest bits of the series.
When Good Fellows Get Together
KAOS, tired of Hymie foiling their plots, activates
Groppo, the world's strongest and meanest robot. The only
way Hymie can defeat Groppo is to be reprogrammed for
evil, but he refuses and tries to make friends with
Groppo.

kidnap a foreign prime minister. Max and 99 become

Basil)
The Groovy Guru
The Groovy Guru, played by Larry Storch, plans to incite
the nation's youth to riot. He'll do this by broadcast a
special song during his live broadcast, unless CONTROL
can stop him. The best part of this episode is watching
the '60's dancing.
The Little Black Book, Parts I
and II
Max's old army buddy Sid (Don Rickles) arrives in town
unexpectedly and wants to go out on the town and find
some women. He uses Max's little black book to arrange a
double date, not knowing that the book he used was a KAOS

refuses to believe that Max is really a spy.

resigning from CONTROL. Max, unable to control himself,
goes to work for Royal as his bodyguard and discovers
that Royal is a KAOS agent. In this episode, 99 states
her name to be Susan Hilton. While many trivia quizzes
list this as 99's real name, at the end of the episode,
99 states that it's a cover name and not her real real
name.
The Wax Max
Showing off for 99 at an amusement park's shooting
gallery, Max wins 99 a kewpie doll. He also unwittingly
gives the carny worker a KAOS code phrase and receives a
plutonium kewpie doll. KAOS empties the park and captures
them in the chamber of horrors, filled with terrifying
wax images.
Operation Ridiculous
Week News Magazine arrives at CONTROL to do a profile
piece on the agency. A toupee-wearing chief assigns the
writers to Max, hoping a good story will mean more funds
for the agency. However, KAOS sets up traps to make Max's
ineptness even more obvious and it looks like the story
for CONTROL will be bad.
Spy,Spy,Birdie
Albert Pfister(the P is silent) appears at Max's
apartment and asks Max to sign a petition against noise.

of masterminding the plot, Max and Siegfried join forces
to track down Pfister.
Run, Robot, Run
Snead and Neal, of KAOS' CAD division, disrupt
an international track meet by injuring the U.S. players.

Hymie to enter the track meet and Max to protect him.

KAOS discovers the phone number of the Chief's hot line.
They impersonate the president and order Max to take over

doesn't have a number, just a letter.

contain a list of KAOS informers and agents. Krispin will
only exchange the files for his missing wife Amanda.
Since they don't have Amanda, CONTROL assigns Max to
convert mousy lookalike Mimsi Sage into wild and crazy
Amanda Krispin. Cesar Romero guest stars.
Die,Spy
It's the move KAOS and CONTROL have been dreading, the
introduction of a third spy agency, ACB. Max and new
agent Samuels, a Bill Cosby act-alike, become traveling
ping pong performers to flush out Kubacheck, the head of
ACB. This episode is a brilliant parody of I Spy and even
features Robert Culp in a hysterical cameo as a waiter.
