First I will explain the term Holocron. A Holocron is like a library; only this interface allows me to guide you on the journey. Within one discovers the lore and history of those before you, and the one who teaches it to you. When you come to it you are dry and when you walk away the knowledge drenches you. A true Jedi can make the Holocron an interactive wisdom source.
The Holocron itself is a cube that glows and sits in your hand. It is in essence a recording device of great antiquity. It is an example of primitive holographic crafts. It is a vast library in a small container - a collection of "books" whose authors visit the reader and speak to them directly. But a pattern of organic crystals at the heart of the Holocron reacts to the presence of a true Jedi. These crystals are the key to the deeper levels of the Holocron's mysteries.
