The Committee
The Miss Teen Western Newfoundland Competition is currently seeking committee members. If you are interested in helping to organize an event to promote the growth and development of the young women in our region please contact us! This is a volunteer organization. You will not be reimbursed for your time and effort, other than with the gratification of knowing you have given young women the opportunity to display their talents and become strong, self assured women who will one day run this great province and country.
Director – Lori O’Keefe
As Miss Newfoundland and Labrador 2001 Lori gained great insight into the benefits of pageantry and the opportunities it can bring. She represented the province at the international Miss Oktoberfest Pageant where she was chosen as Miss Friendship and as the 2nd place talent finalist. In 2003 she attended the Miss National Canada Pageant where she was once again named Miss Congeniality and placed in the Top 5. Most recently, in March 2007, Lori attended the Miss World Canada pageant where she was named Miss Sport and was also a Top 5 Finalist for Best in Interview and the People’s Choice Award. She is currently working as a college instructor in Corner Brook.
Co-Director – Andrea Quilty
Andrea is
currently enrolled in the Firefighting Training and Recruitment program at
Marine Institute. For the last 2 years, she was a Community Studies Student at
College of the North Atlantic. She is an active volunteer within her community
and enjoys volunteering her time with children, animals and extra curricular
programs. In her free time, Andrea enjoys spending time with friends and family,
as well as shopping and helping others by any means necessary. She is anxiously
looking forward to being an active Committee Member of Miss Teen Western
Newfoundland and hopes to play an active role in this pageant for many years to
come.
