PART NINE OF "DOESN'T REALLY MATTER"

Untitled Normal Page

Matt and me were at Cracker Barrel. We were in line waiting to pay. All of sudden I could somebody screaming. I turned around and saw that some girl with our purple shirt on was staring straight at us. I sighed and laughed to myself. Hell, I craved attention and I was getting plenty of it. The girl ran up to me. She was crying like crazy. Everyone in the resturant was quiet and looking at us. Matt was paying the cashier. He was used to his beautiful baby brother get all the attention.

"Oh, my god! Oh, my god! I love you, Jeff! Can I please get a hug?!" She screamed.

"Don't cry. Sure, sweethart."

I wrapped my arms around her. I could feel her tears roll down the small of my back. She was smelling my hair too. I smiled. Like I said, these Jeff Hardy girls of mine were crazy. I let her go.

"Can you sign my shirt? He...he...here's m-m-my sh-sh-shirt?"

"Awwwwwwww. You're sttuterin'. No problem."

I took out a marker I always carried around for emergencies like this and signed the back of the shirt.

"Here, you can have the marker."

She cried harder as she took the marker.

"I always wanted to ask you something."

"What might that be?" I asked.

"Do you have a girlfriend?"

She was adorbale. She wanted to know if I was taken. This was so sweet. I smiled.

"Yeah, I'm taken."

The girl dropped her marker. She stopped crying and wiped the tears from her face. All of a sudden, she looked mad as hell. She put her hands on her hips.

"Excuse me?"

"I...have a girlfriend."

"Well, you know what..."

She picked up the marker off the floor.

"You can take your cheap ass marker and shove it up your ass!" She threw the marker at my face.

My eyes got wide and I started to blush. Everyone in the resturant was staring at me and the girl. There wasn't a sound in the place.

"And while you're at it, you can take this ugly shirt and give it to the bitch you call your girlfriend!" She ripped her shirt off and threw it at me too.

"I used to think you were cute. I used to dream of spending my life with you. I used to dream of losing my virginity to you and here you are, fucking some other ho! As far as I'm concerned, you just lost one of your biggest fans, motherfucker." She said coldly.

She slapped the shit out of me and walked away crying. I stood there and held my face as the people all around stared at me. I ran over to that girl and turned her around.

"Listen here, little girl! There's more to me and my brother than just our looks! I love every fan I get but don't you dare call yourself a fan when you just embarassed me like that! We have worked hard and sacrificed having normal lives, being normal people, our bodies and so much of our time just to entertain you and getting smacked is the thanks I get?"

"I don't give a fuck about your sacrifice or your hard work! I loved you once, Jeff. I worshipped the ground you walked on. My room is filled with pictures of you. I spend all my time on the Internet working on my site just for you but I can see that some other bitch is satisfying you more than I am! Thank you, Jeff! Thank you for ruining my life! You could have the common sense to tell me that you were single and maybe, I might still love you! Maybe I am just a teen bopper! Maybe you should tell the world your definition of a true Hardy Boyz fan because that's obviously something I'm not! I'll admit it, I did just like you for your looks. Maybe I shouldn't have slapped you. Maybe I do need to appreciate all the things you've done for your true fans. You're right, I'm wrong. I'm sorry." She cried.

I sighed and gave her a hug as she cried wearing nothing but her bra. Everyone in the resturant stood up and clapped. I let the girl go and looked at these people. The girl smiled a tiny bit as I had my arm around her. Matt just looked at us from outside of the building and shook his head while he smiled.

"What's your name, honey?" I whispered in her ear.

"Jennifer."

"Go get your shirt and marker off the floor. You're a true fan in my eyes now."

She smiled and gave me a hug.

"I'm sorry, Jeff. Thanks for being...who you are."

"No problem, honey."

"Bye."

"You made me realize something today, Jennifer, and I'll never forget it. You take care, sweethart."

"I'm glad I did that for you, Jeff. Bye."

The girl ran over to the marker and shirt as she shoved people out the way. She bent down, picked it up, smelled the marker and sighed. I laughed and walked out of the resturant. I had one of those serious looks on my face again. Matt was in the car waiting because I could hear him playing "Corduroy" all loud. I thought about what just happened between me and Jennifer. It made me realize something about Stephanie being my girlfriend. I got in the car and grabbed my cell phone. Matt was picking on me.

"Leave me alone, Matt." I said.

"Little brother got the shit slapped out of him." He laughed harder.

"Fuck you." I gave him the finger.

"You know I'm just playing."

"Yeah, I know."

I sighed and dialed Stephanie's number.

"Hello?"

"Hey, Stephanie. It's Jeff. We need to talk but not right now, I'll call you later."

"Okay. Bye."

"Bye."
