Lindsey drove
Beth and me back to my house. Beth and I were in the back just
holding each other. That's all we needed right now, just to hold
each other. It felt wonderful to see the sparkle in her
multicolored eyes. It felt so wonderful to hear her angelic voice
again. My life wasn't complete without her. Eventually, we got to
the house. Time seemed to fly when I was with this woman. I
walked in my house to see Amy lying on my couch with her feet on
my coffee table. Liger ran over to me and barked his ass off as
usual when I came home. I told him to hush. I couldn't believe
the audacity of this bitch. I told her to never put her feet on
my furniture. Matt must have been here too. She smiled at me. I
looked her like I was The Rock and she was Kurt Angle.
"What are you doing?" I asked.
"Watching television." Amy said. She waved to Beth and
Lindsey.
"WHAT are you doin'?" I yelled.
"Who you yellin' at?" She replied.
"You, bitch!"
Amy got up off the couch and got in my face. We looked at each
other dead in the eyes.
"What did you call me?" She asked seriously.
I was about to say it but Lindsey pulled Amy back. We were about
to fight again.
"Jeff, I'm so happy to see y'all fight again but don't you
ever call a woman that. You understand?" Beth said.
I sighed and nodded. Then, I turned away. I could hear Amy mutter
something about me under her breath. I ran over to her and
slapped her. Out of nowhere, Matt shoved me away from punching
Amy again. Liger ran over to Matt and barked at him. Matt looked
at Amy's face with concern in his eyes. Beth grabbed my shirt and
dragged me to my bedroom. She slammed the door behind me.
"What's up with you? Don't you dare hit a girl like that
again! I don't care if you don't like Amy but you don't have any
right to hurt her! Do you understand?"
"Yeah." I shrugged.
The phone rang.
"I'LL GET IT, MOTHERFUCKER!" Amy screamed.
I tried to get up but Beth gave me a look and I sat down. The
next thing I knew, the door swung open. Amy was standing in the
doorway with a huge smile on her face.
"Telephone." She said calmly.
Something wasn't right. I looked at Beth. I slowly reached for
the phone. Amy walked over to it and handed it to me.
"Here you go. Enjoy your conversation." She said with
that calm tone.
"There's gonna be some drama in this house tonight."
Amy mumbled to herself.
"Hello?" I spoke into the phone.
"Hi, Jeff. It's Stephanie."
My mind went blank. I was on my way home to end my relationship
with Stephanie but I never got the chance since Beth and Lindsey
were headed where I was headed too. Damn, I was in trouble.
"Hey, Steph. How are you?"
"Fine. You said we needed to talk about something."
"We do but not right now."
I saw Beth walk over to the caller ID. I cursed under my breath.
She looked at the damn thing and looked at me.
"Who is that, Jeff?" Beth asked.
"No one."
She gave me a weird look.
"You've never lied to me before. Don't start now."
"It's no one important."
Beth rolled her eyes and opened the door where Amy was standing
with a phone in her hand. She smiled evilly at me and gave it to
her.
"Who is this?" Beth spoke into the phone.
"Stephanie."
"Why are you calling this house?" Beth put her hands on
her waist.
"This is my boyfriend's house. Who is this?"
Beth looked at me. A tear fell from her eye. She quickly wiped it
away.
"His ex-girlfriend."
She threw the phone at me. I ducked out of the way. Beth started
crying again and walked over to the drawer where most of her
clothes were. She took all of them out, walked in my closet and
got a suitcase out. She dropped all of them in there.
"Steph, I'll call you back."
"No, you won't. Who is that?"
"That's what we need to talk about. I think we need
to..."
"I wasted too much of my time with you. You're nothing but a
cheat, liar and a heartbreaker. I hate you! I hope you die!"
Beth screamed.
Tears filled in my eyes. Beth sobbed and stumbled into the
bathroom.
"...Jeff, were you gonna dump me just then?" Stephanie
asked.
It was then, I realized that I had to make a choice. It was
either gonna be Stephanie or Beth.
