PART EIGHT OF "DOESN'T REALLY MATTER"

Untitled Normal Page

Many weeks had past by and I felt terrible. Jeff was on my mind constantly. No matter what I did, he wouldn't stop haunting my mind. I missed him so much. Sure, I was the one who was mad at him first but I didn't realize how much he meant to me. I tried seeing other people but those relationships couldn't compare to what me and Jeff had. Nothing even came close. All of this drama put together was hurting me and my school work. I had myself to blame for it all.

It was a Thursday. I knew that Jeff and Matt were off. I decided to find out what had been going on with him because masturbating to his pictures just wasn't cutting it anymore. Lindsey and me were on our way to Amy's house. Amy would tell me anything and she did not have a big mouth. I hoped she was home. She lived in Virginia but she was about to move to Sanford, NC. Yes, I was willing to drive to Virginia for Jeffrey.

"I knew this was gonna happen." Lindsey said.

"What do you mean?"

"I knew that you were gonna end up missing Jeff and that I would have to help you get him back. We're like Lucy and Ethel."

"That's why I love you, baby, but I really appreciate this. Jeff is like the perfect man. I was so lucky to have him. Then, I let him go over some stupid shit. Why am I so stupid?"

"I think it runs in the family but Amy will help you out."

"Yeah. That's my girl. Did you see her the other night on Heat? At first, I didn't recognize her because I thought she was gonna debut with Matt & Jeff."

"She was with some dude named Essa Rios."

"Yeah, that's his name. She was looking good in that red. I like her wrestling name."

"Lita is a pretty name. I might name my daughter that."

"If Jeff and me had a daughter, what do you think it'll look like?"

"Are you saying Jeff is your baby's daddy?" Lindsey laughed.

"Hell yeah!"

It was around seven when we got to Amy's house. She was doing house work as usual. She had on these real short shorts, a white t-shirt and a red bandanna. She was so happy and talkative as usual.

"What are y'all doing here?" Amy asked.

"I need to talk to you, girl. It's serious."

"It must have been since you drove all the way out here. Hey, Lindsey."

"Hey." Lindsey waved.

"Come on in."

We stepped in and closed the door behind us. Her house smelled so good. Amy did not only know how to wrestle, she knew how to clean...very well. We sat down on her comfortable couch.

"What's up?"

"It's about Jeff. I miss him like crazy. He's always on my mind. I see his face in everything I do. I'm even masturbatin' to his picture!"

Amy fell on the floor laughing. Lindsey joined in. I rolled my eyes and sighed. This was serious. I wanted my baby back.

"Amy! Listen to me!"

"Okay, okay, okay, I'm sorry.

"Well, what should I do?"

"You can't do nothing now."

"Why?"

"He's taken."

"Taken? What the fuck are you talkin' about?"

"Stephanie and him go out."

"Stephanie who?" Lindsey said.

"McMahon! Who else?"

"Stephanie McMahon! What the hell happened to his taste in women?"

"Stephanie is the total opposite than what y'all see on television.

"Oh." I sighed.

"Why are you sighing? You're the one that told him to see other people. He didn't wanna do it at first but he thought that if he went with someone else, he would realize how much me missed you but him and Stephanie are a real good couple."

I felt tears in my eyes. A frown was on my depressed face. I looked at Amy with my puppy dog eyes.

"Don't cry."

"I can't help it." I started crying.

Amy pulled me into a hug as I cried on her shoulder.

"It's gonna be alright, Beth. It's gonna be alright. He ain't going nowhere."

"Sure. He might be fuckin' Stephanie as we speak. Jeff might be in love with her." I cried harder.

"Hush. Stephanie ain't gonna give it up that easily, trust me. They've only been together for three weeks."

"I miss the way his lips tasted, I miss his tongue caressing my tongue, I miss his emerald eyes, I miss how warm his arms felt around me...I want my man back!"

"Awwwwwwwwwwwwww. We'll find a way. Don't worry but that doesn't mean we can mess up his relationship with Steph. That wouldn't be fair."

"I wouldn't hurt him like that. I know what a relationship means to Jeff."

"Well, I guess you're gonna have to sit and wait for it to end or just talk to him."

It was quiet for a minute. I got up and wiped the tears from my eyes. I grabbed Lindsey and walked to the door.

"Cameron, North Carolina, here we come."
