Twist of Fate

PART THREE OF "GIRLFRIEND"

Jeff opened his eyes to see his brother shaking him to wake him up from his nap. Jeff yawned and sat up in his seat. He looked out the window to see the airplane moving towards the airport. Jeff, Matt, Amy, K-Kwik and Shane Helms were flying to Albany, New York, for Raw. All of them lived in North Carolina so they traveled together quite often. Jeff felt kind of weird since he was so used to thinking about Beth all the time. Whether they were happy or fighting, she was never far from his mind, but now it was different. For the first time, he wasn't thinking about her that much. Still, he wasn't over her yet. Jeff yawned again and started listening to Amy's conversation with Kwik. That was his nickname for the new WWF Superstar.

"So you said Trish is gonna pick us up?" Kwik asked.

"Yeah, she had an autograph signing here yesterday and being the sweetheart she is, she rented us this van so all of us can roll together this week." Amy said smiling up at him as she put her stuff back into her carry-on.

"Is she like your best female friend in the business?" He asked with a raised eyebrow, they didn’t really look like the type that would be friends.

"Well, I'm closer to Dawn Marie and Jazz from ECW, but since I no longer travel with them I guess you can say she's my best female friend in the WWF. Jeff flirts with her a lot. She tells me about it all the time. We tell each other just about everything. What about you?" She asked as she smiled over at Jeff, as he shrugged when she mentioned the Trish part.

"Jeff's been the coolest dude I've met. He's cool to hang out with." He said slapping Jeff on the shoulder and doing a little handshake.

"I love you too, man." Jeff smiled.

"Come on, let's go." Kwik laughed.

They all got up with the rest of the passengers and got off the plane to see Trish against the wall in a disguise. She looked like the total opposite from the girl that everyone saw on television. She was wearing gray sweat pants, a worn out white t-shirt, a black hat and black sunglasses. Of course, the five North Carolinians already had on their disguises. They really weren't disguises, they just didn't look like their TV characters.

"Hey, everybody. Good flight?" Trish asked as she waved at everyone and smiled, giving Amy a hug as the two girls smiled at one another.

"It was cool." Matt replied.

"Well, baggage claim is right downstairs." Trish said directing everyone to follow her.

"What's up, girl?" Jeff said to Trish as they all made their way downstairs.

"Hey, boy. How are you?" She asked giving him a small hug as they let everyone walk in front of them.

"I'm alright. You’re looking bootylicious as usual." Jeff smiled with his southern charm.

"Boy, look at me. I look awful." She said gesturing down at what she was wearing and her face, with no make up on it.

"No, you don't. This is your natural self. You gotta have confidence in your body to wear what you're wearing. That's bootylicious, honey."

"I like you. You always compliment me no matter what. You're looking scrumptious yourself." Trish smiled back.

"I love Canadian women, Trish."

"I love juicy, tender and sexy men...so I definitely don't love you."

"Oooooh, you got jokes." Jeff said as Trish laughed.

Jeff and Trish always had this chemistry with each other. Jeff had thought Trish was absolutely beautiful from the moment he first saw her. He was real nice to her when she first came to the WWF and helped her out in any way that he could. The electricity between the two was just amazing but they insisted to everyone that they would never be more friends. Everyone quickly got their luggage from the baggage claim and left the airport.

"Have you noticed how inseparable Jeff and Trish are?" Shane asked Matt.

"Man, it's been like that ever since she got to the WWF." Matt replied glancing over at his brother, talking to the blonde, short girl.

"But I know that look in Jeff's eyes."

"I know. Everyone else says the same thing but seriously, they're just friends."

"Well, we're gonna be in this same town for Raw and SmackDown so you know, we're going to a club tonight. Jeff never went with us to clubs before since he was Beth. He's single now and you know how crazy Jeff is when he's single."

"Oh, yeah. You are exactly right."

Back in '98 and '99, Jeff was a very wild person. He was like a sex addict and because of Jeff's good looks, he usually got what he wanted. Ever since he lost his virginity, sex was like a drug to Jeff. The girls always came to him since he was so good-looking and his southern charm always put them under a spell. Eventually, that led to the bedroom. Yet, this was before he officially with the WWF and he met Beth. When he met her, he really calmed down and changed his ways. Now that he was single, it was gonna be real interesting to see how Jeff would act. The question still remained if he was over Beth.

Paul Wright a.k.a. The Big Show shook his head as he heard Jeff and Trish giggling for the hundredth time. The three of them were told to hang out in a locker room until Stephanie McMahon joined them. She wanted to run through a storyline with them to make sure they were cool with it. After awhile, she showed up. Everyone said hello to her. She was wearing an orange Tommy Jeans shirt and tight blue jeans. She had a notepad with a bunch of writing on it in her hands.

"What's up, guys? Y'all pull up some chairs and talk to me for a hot minute." Stephanie smiled as everyone did as told.

"You're looking mighty fine tonight." Jeff said to her.

"Jeff, you flirt too much...but that's the exact reason why I wanna talk to y'all. Everyone knows that you're single now. I've even had JR and Michael Cole say that you're the most eligible bachelor in the WWF." Stephanie said.

"I was wondering why they were saying that." Trish replied.

"Well, Jeff, I've always noted the fact that you and Trish love to flirt with each other and I think you guys know that I've been teasing you two actually hooking up in the storylines." Stephanie said.

"Yeah, I've been getting that feeling. What do we have to do tonight?" He replied.

"Tonight, Jeff, you're scheduled to take on Big Show and during this match, Trish is gonna come down the ramp and start being Jeff's cheerleader instead of Amy. Big Show gonna win and leave. Trish, you're gonna get in the ring, help Jeff up and kiss him." Stephanie smiled.

Jeff and Trish looked at each other. Then, they looked at each other's lips. For some reason, anticipation for this moment started to build up in their bodies.

"What kind of kiss?" Jeff asked.

"I'll let you and Trish make that decision. Well, come on, Paul, you gotta get ready." Stephanie stood up, winked at Paul and he got the message.

"Okay, see you later, Jeff." Paul followed Stephanie.

"Alright, man."Jeff and Trish thought for a minute about what kind of kiss it should be.

Of course, Jeff always wanted to get in Trish's mouth but he wasn't quite sure if she felt the same way.

"I don't wanna make your female fans mad at me too much so let's make it a normal kiss. No tongue. I know that's what YOU wanted." She said raising her eyebrows and smiling at him.

"Of course not. The thought never crossed my mind." Jeff smiled as he placed his hands on his chest and made an innocent look.

"Shut up, boy. Well, let me go find something to wear. See you later, Jeff."

"Wear a skirt, sweetheart." Jeff said as Trish left.

"I'll think about it!"

Jeff prepared himself mentally and physically as he saw Trish make her way into the ring. He couldn't wait to hear the reaction from the fans when they were gonna kiss. He got into character as Trish helped him stand up. He acted very disoriented as he leaned against the turnbuckle behind him. Trish put her hands on his face and made him look into his eyes. From a moment, Jeff felt as if he and Trish were the only two people on Earth as he looked into her sexy eyes. He heard the crowd quickly fill with silence as they looked at the two. Still, he didn't feel like they were even there because Trish's skin touched his, he felt the manhood he felt when he was with Beth. He closed his eyes as her face moved in closer to his and finally, their lips touched. Jeff wanted to make the most of this moment so badly while it was here by opening his mouth but he had to be professional at the same time so he just left it alone. Her lips were so soft and wet, the perfect combination for him. Before he knew it, Trish ended the kiss and left the ring with a smile on her face. On the outside, he looked at Trish like she was crazy as she walked up the ramp but on the inside, he was glowing just like Amy was when she made out with Matt on the same ramp Trish was walking on.

**The Next Day**

Matt, Jeff, Amy and Shane were on their way to the arena for SmackDown. Matt was driving as usual, Amy was reading the latest issue of Teen People and Jeff was in the back thinking about everything from his fans to his angle with Trish in the storylines lately. Because of this, he was spending a lot more time with her and he loved every minute of it. He enjoyed it so much that he wanted more. Yet, today was a very hard day for Jeff. If he and Beth were still together, their anniversary would be today so Jeff felt kind of down about that and he knew that Trish could cheer him up. He didn't want to bother Matt, Amy or Shane about it since they had helped him enough already but he did want to hear their advice. Sometimes, he wished his best friend, Shannon, was in the WWF so he could talk to him like they used to talk when they were on the Indys but he was too busy thinking about whethere or not he should put his wrestling career on hold to get his college education. So he couldn't talk to him as much as he wanted, that's why he learned to depend on Matt and Amy whenever he needed to talk to somebody.

"Hey, y'all, I've been thinking, should I ask Trish out?" Jeff asked as he scratched the back of his neck and looked at everyone.

"Finally. We saw this one coming for months." Matt said throwing his hands up in the air.

"No, seriously, I just wanna take her out and have a good time kind of like when me and Amy go bowling or see a movie. We just talk about stuff and chill out. That's what I wanna do with Trish."

"If she says yes, where you gonna take her?" Shane asked.

"I have no idea. It'll be up to her, I guess."

"Well, good luck, man. Hopefully, everything will turn out well."

"Yeah, hopefully."

But anyway, what you doing tonight

I'll probably hang out with my peeps

If it's cool, maybe you can swing by

And you can just chill with us

Or you can just chill with me

Long as you're comfortable and you feel secure

When you're with me
