Twist of Fate

Prologue of "Angel In Disguise"

As we all know, wrestling fans each have their own favorite wrestler(s.) We cheer when they come out. We cheer win when they win their matches. We boo when their opponents come out. We boo when they lose their match. Most of all, we're concerned when they're hurt. That's the last thing we want to see happen to someone who sacrifices themselves just to entertain us. On the other side of the game, fans aren't the only ones who are concerned. Fans aren't the only ones who cry when their favorite wrestler gets injured. There are also family, friends...and girlfriends and fiancees.

These are the people who are closest to the wrestlers. These are the people who see a side of the wrestler that no one else sees. These are the people who grew up with them. These are the people that know their deepest fears and what makes them happy the most. These are the people that have to nurse their battle scars. Most of all, these are the people who are hurt the most when someone they know personally gets hurt. Girlfriends of WWF Superstars and WCW Superstars go through a lot of drama in their lives. It's may be cool when you think about it but life can be filled with lonliness and sadness. Hell, you can only see your boyfriend one day or two days of the week. Sometimes, they don't even get to see them. Sometimes, they can't even spend quality time with them alone because they may be too hurt or they may be in the hospital.

Then again, life isn't all that bad when your boyfriend is a wrestler. People like Denise (Jason Reso's [a.k.a. Christian] fiancee), Jessica (Christopher Irvine's [a.k.a. Chris Jericho] wife), Amy (Matt Hardy's girlfriend), Allanah (Adam Copeland's [a.k.a. Edge] fiancee) and Beth (Jeff Hardy's girlfriend) spend days killing time until the day their men come home from work. They get to cook for them, they get to clean after them, they get to make love to them and they get to spend time with them. This is the one thing that keeps those ladies happy.

Soon as they get home, everything is normal. They're no longer a WWF Superstar...they're just normal human beings. These ladies are definitely role models since they are that strong to watch their boyfriends get the hell beat out of them EVERY WEEK. They are the personification of how strong a female can be. To go through the things they go through and still be here today is extremely admirable. Most of these fans need to put themselves in their shoes. That's the purpose of this story. In this story, you will know exactly how hard, how happy, how sad, how difficult, how weird, how lonely and how depressing life can be when your boyfriend is a wrestler.
