Choir invited to sing at Carnegie Hall in New York, NY.

Band invited to play in St. Patrick's Day Parade in Chicago, IL.

Ladies Basketball team went to state tournament.

-Bryan White - invited to present a research paper at UT Knoxville by the Tennessee Junior Science and Humanities Symposium (TN JSHS) February 28 - March 1, 2008.

-D.J. Tidwell & Chris King - invited to present posters representing their research at TN JSHS, Chris King won the poster division - February 28 - March 1, 2008.

-Chris King - Winner of the Middle Tennessee Science and Engineering Fair - March 13 - 15, 2008.

-Chris King - Invited to present paper by the Tennessee Academy of Science at Belmont University - April 18, 2008.

-Terrill Johnson - Award for Science Teacher Excellence by the TN JSHS.

The Nashville Business Journal ranked The Discovery School 37th out of 200 middle Tennessee elementary schools!

Dickson County High School

1st in the nation for magazine sales.

Mrs. Patty Post- National Board Certified Teacher-of mathematics.

Chosen to serve in the Kentucky Academy of Science Mentor Program for Women in Science, Engineering, and Mathematics.
