Who is Nikki?
It all started in 1981 when I was ten years old. I woke up one night because I couldn't sleep. The room seemed to be shimmering. My bed started to vibrate slowly and then shake violently. The next thing that I remembered was a bright flash of light and then silence.
I turned on the lights and started to look around the room. It seemed as though everything was double, but the second image was slightly different from the first image. Within a few minutes, the double vision finally blended into normal vision, but I still felt that something else was there. I would even hear faint voices. I couldn't help thinking that someone was watching me.
The next night, I saw the image of another child in my room. She looked just like me.
We were both the same child! Our parallel universes must have crossed. Sometimes I feel that we are both living the same life. Sometimes she is dominant and living her life; other times, I am in charge and living my life.
Her name is Nikki.
