These are the two mangas I read, scanned in by me. My friend only had two books, number 2 and number 3. Now, I'm a BIG fan of Eva, as most should know, but I just didn't like these books. They're too condensed and they're also slightly different than the TV Show. Character personalities change slightly. Misato seems a little less cheerful, and Shinji has a bit more of a sense of humour. However, I didn't like that Shinji, he bugged me, like he was an imposter trying to pretend to be my beloved Shinji! ^^ I did, however, like the little story about how Misato came to have PenPen, which wasn't explained in the anime.
These books are a little expensive *cringes at the price tag* but if you're a huge Eva fan, they just might be well-worth your time! Perhaps I'm not as big of an NGE buff as I thought... |
