THE COMPASSIONATE FRIENDS
OF DELAWARE COUNTY

CHILD WITH BUTTERFLIES

WHO ARE WE?

The Compassionate Friends of Delaware County is a self-help organization which offers support to families who have experienced the death of a child, no matter the age of the child. Only a parent (young or old) who has experienced the trauma of having a child die can fully understand the pain and suffering involved.

The Compassionate Friends of Delaware County is under Charter of the National Organization in Oak Brook, Illinois and abides by its rules guidelines. The Compassionate Friends was started in Coventry, England by Reverend Simon Stephens in 1969 with the first chapter in the U.S. starting in Florida in 1972.

The Compassionate Friends of Delaware County is not affiliated with any religious organization nor does it endorse any political view. We do not charge any dues or fees and depend solely on Love Gifts and contributions from friends & professionals as our means of support. Our only purpose is to provide a comforting network of support, friendship and understanding to parents and siblings.

The Compassionate Friends of Delaware County has its newsletter up and running again. Please send newsletter materials to our new editor, Rhonda Rich, at 1110 Garfield Ave., Havertown, PA, 19083 or email to: rar9698@aol.com.

A note about LOVE GIFTS: Love gifts are contributions (tax deductible) given in memory of a child who has died. The givers are not only the parents but also other relatives, friends and professionals. These memorial gifts should be sent to the treasurer, Jean Kearney, at TCF/Delaware County, P.O. Box 213, Glenolden, PA 19036. LOVE GIFTS give us the resources necessary to continue to reach out to others. There is no charge for our newsletters, lending library or meetings. We depend solely on your contributions.

The Compassionate Friends of Delaware County meets the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month at 7:30PM
