The Correct Dosage opened up on November 5, 2003, coinciding with the 20th anniversary of my birth. I've set this thing up for me more than anything else. It's a way to record my thoughts and feelings as they happen. I don't think I'd be able to keep up a real journal, so this is a good way for me to have a record of what my life was like way back when. But visitors are more than welcome (or else I wouldn't have taken the time to make this place look so damn spiffy), and I appreciate your thoughts, input, condolences, and joys.

The Correct Dosage WAQ
(Webmaster-Asked Questions)

1. The Correct Dosage...what does that mean?
It's part of a quote from Dr. Cox of the television show Scrubs. Ahem:

"It's regular strength Tylenol. Here's what you do: get her to open her mouth, take a handful, and throw it at her! Whatever sticks, that's the correct dosage!"

I chose this as the theme of my site because (a) I love Scrubs (though love may be too mild a word), and (b) I like to think I give my readers just the right amount of me. You can disagree, but I put too much time and effort into this thing to change it all now.

2. What was wrong with All Things Ruark?
A few things. One, Angelfire instituted a no-popup approach to site advertising, instead simply placing ads at the top of each page. This seriously messed up my format, which is obvious when you load ATR now. Two, I was planning to redesign the site anyway. The new ads just gave me a reason to start completely anew. Three, I have a little more freedom with The Dosage, which I can't really explain here. Incidentally, ATR will be left up for posterity and reminiscent browsing.

3. Why doesn't the content of your site fit into the sections?
Because you're not using the optimal settings. The Correct Dosage is best viewed at 1024x768 resolution (which you can find in your Display Settings), with recent versions of Internet Explorer or Firefox.

4. What's a blog, and what's the point?
Blogs are, in essence, online journals; they're largely self-indulgent and ultimately useless. They're fairly popular now, among both personal and special-interest users. No point, really. I noted a little something at the top of this page, but that's about it.

Feel free to ask any questions you might have. If it's good enough, I'll post it here.
