The Thomas B. Mack
Florida Citrus Archives
The purpose of the Thomas B Mack FL Citrus Archives is to gather, collect, procure, accept and properly prepare for storage, historical data, writings and publications, printed materials, books and periodicals, pictures and photographs, maps, graphs, films and various other manner of citrus memorabilia of significance.

It is the further purpose of the Citrus Archives to correctly evaluate, catalog, and list all of these materials as they are being properly housed in a manner that they will be stored for posterity.

The ultimate purpose of the Citrus Archives is to make these materials available to present and future generations of students, citrus growers and researchers for educational purposes, research and study.

The Thomas B Mack FL Citrus Archives has set a goal of $500,000 as an endowment fund to assure the existence of the Citrus Archives into the future.  Only the interest earnings from the endowment will be spent on day to day expenses for the operation of the archives.

In addition to the salary for a full-time archivest, there are the costs for the materials used in the processing of the collections.  I might add, materials of archival quality are quite expensive.  To learn how you can help, check our link:
