1995 Chevy Impala SS

Dave's Impala SS Story:

The reason I bought an Impala was because I like full size cars, and I wanted one with some power. I was looking for an Impala SS for a long time. I appreciate the older model Impala's, but I wanted something a little more modern. The Impala I wanted had to be black with low miles. Black looks awesome when it is clean!! One day I was looking through an old Auto Hunter when I found a 95 Impala with only 18,000 miles on it. I called the owner who stated he hadn't sold the car yet. He was wondering how I found it because the Auto Hunter was almost three months old. My story is like Terry's because his wife wanted him to sell the car. I got the feeling from our conversation that he didn't want to part with it.

I went to the owner's house with Terry to look at the car. He always kept it in a garage with a cover on it. It was obvious that he had taken good care of the car because it was immaculate. He pulled it out of the garage and showed me all of the options. I took it for a test drive, and by the time I got back I definitely knew that I wanted to buy it. The rest is history. I am constantly making modifications to the car to make it faster. It is starting to get expensive. I recently took the car to the track to see how it would run in the 1/4 mile. You can see how it performed by clicking on the Performance and Engine Data at the top of the page.

The car is fully loaded with all the options. It came with a CD player and the heater block for the engine. I have put about $2000.00 into the stereo. I've added two amps(600 watts total), two twelve inch Pioneer free air speakers and Fultron 6X9 loud speakers with two Fultron 4 inch dash speakers. I have installed a car phone, a fuel bib, chrome engine cover, 61 cross flags, 9C1 wipers, 9C1 air deflectors and custom emroidered Impala SS floor mats.
