Insignias and badges

This section intends to present the insignias and badges and appropriate data , as well as when possible  the origin and  components . This will include  not only those of air bases and units already shown in the respective sections, but also those of flying training courses  and non-operational units or entities.

The section is divided in three parts <.
 

            Part one - Air units

            Part two - Flying training courses

            Part three - Aeronautical military entities
 

For each part an index containig the designation, period of existence and reduced picture (thumbnail) will link to the data sheet with the amplified picture and detailed related information .

This section is maintained by José Carlos Montalvão Guimarães (Portuguese Air Force Colonel Ret.), considered to be the best Air Force specialist in this matter. Most of the insignias and badges presented belong to his private collection.
