Death Penalty:

Death Row:
An area in the prison away from the general population, in close proximity to the execution chamber, where condemned prisoners live out their last days.

 

Euthanasia:
The action of killing an individual for reasons considered to be merciful.

 

Inhumane:
Lacking in pity or compassion.

 

Lethal Injection:
A deadly combination of drugs introduced to the body intravenously.

 

Secular:

1. Worldly rather than spiritual.

2. Not specifically pertaining to religion or to a religious body.

3. Pertaining to or advocating secularism.

4. Not bound by monastic restrictions.
