Grand Assembly 2004
I can't believe that yet another Grand has passed and we are about to part to our home towns and go back to working at our home assemblies.  Words cannot express how much of an honor it has been serving as your Grand Worthy Advisor.  I have had a blast representing Alaska Rainbow at various Masonic activities and I am truely honored that I had the opportunity to attend Grand Court, Grand Lodge, the Potentates Ball, and the Grand Worthy Advisor's reception in Washington/Idaho.  On my travels to Fairbanks, Juneau, Palmer and Anchorage, I was able to learn more about Alaska Rainbow; each assembly has such dedication, love, warmth and sisterhood.  I can't think of a better way to have spent my last year as a Rainbow Girl.   I included detailed descriptions of each of my visits in the Aurora, so you all know all the hard work that each assembly did in the planning of my visits.  I would like to thank all of the adults and girls of the various assemblies for all of their hard work that went into my visits.  I had a fantastic time at all of them and I am truly blessed to have that many friends.  I would also like to thank everyone who  helped in their assemblies with the Grand Service Project, like I said in countless Aurora articles, there is nothing more couragous than to serve and protect your country, and that is what our Veterans and servicemen and women have done.  "To accomplish great things, we must not only act but also dream, not only plan but also believe." This quote by Anatole France is one of my favorites.  It was not only my senior quote, it was also the quote for this 42nd Grand Assembly.  To me, it means that if you dream of something and believe that someday that dream will come true, it may some day happen.   In my first days of Rainbow, I never thought it was possible to become Grand Worthy Advisor.  To me, the Grand Worthy Advisor was the perfect model of a Rainbow Girl.  And I thought I was far from it.  At eleven, I was shy and soft-spoken; I absolutely hated speaking in public.  After a couple years of growing in Rainbow I changed; I learned to speak louder, a little slower, and got some self-confidence.  Rainbow can teach you many things.  It can change you for the better, it did for me. Always let the lessons of Rainbow make a lasting impression upon you.  Thank you again for the honor of serving as your Grand Worthy Advisor. It will be one of my most prized memories.
