THE O.C PLOT

The O.C is about the rich in Newport Beach, Orange County, where everyone and everything appears to be perfect. However, beneath the surface is a world of betrayal, changing identities, of kids living secret lives hidden from their parents and of parents living secret lives hidden from their children. The O.C has its villans and gives you one shocking turn of events after another. The main cast is as follows. A troubled youth becomes embroiled in the lives of a group of close-knit group of people in the wealthy, upper-class neighborhood of Newport Beach, Orange County, California.

Ensemble drama revolving around the young adult community of the Orange County area. A street-smart teen (RYAN ATWOOD) winds up in the high-class society of Newport Beach, sparking alot of commotion.

Ryan Atwood (Benjamin McKenzie) is a troubled teenage youth from the wrong side of the tracks in Los Angeles, Chino, whom finds himself on his own after he is thrown out of his own house. He finds a place to stay in the posh home of the Cohens in the wealthy community of Newport Beach, the O.C. (Orange County), California. Ryan is accepted by the stern but compassionate Sandford "Sandy" Cohen (Peter Gallagher), a lawyer whom represented Ryan in the past for his mis-deeds. But Sandy's wife, Kirsten (Kelly Rowan), aware of Ryan's criminal history, is wary of this new houseguest. Kirsten evetually loves Ryan as her own. The Cohen's son Seth (Adam Brody) bonds with Ryan quickly and shows him the ropes of the community and vice versa for Ryan giving advice to Seth about life and love. Ryan develops a crush on Marissa Cooper (Micha Barton) a neighbor girl whom lives down the street and has problems with her not-so-sheltered existance in dealing with her distant father Jimmy (Tate Donovan) and weak-willed weak moraled mother Julie (Melinda Clark). Marissa crushes right back, ignoring the fact that she a boyfriend. Also, Marissa best friend, Summer (Rachel Bilson) is obvivious to the crush that Seth has on her, while taking a likeing to Ryan, at first. By season 3 Seth and Summer are "a couple". Well however much of a couple you can be on TV. And so begins a new life for Ryan, the Cohens, the Coopers, and basically everyone else in the wealthy, picturesque, secretive, turbulent community of Orange County. Over seeing all these people is Caleb Nichol. Kirsten's father, who leaves a not to nice first second thrid etc impression on most.
