A Week in the Life of Tammy: Daughter, Aunt and "head" of the herd - 2003 Journal
Thought I'd use this page for general updates.  Don't get to talk to the whole family every week and with the time differences, it's hard to match schedules.  So, in an attempt to keep in touch I'll just put down the most significant events of the week here.

Well, the job hunt continues.  I'm not panicked like I was when Mum and Daddy left for home.  There seems to be a lot of interest in me and I'm hoping that lasts.  I want something closer to home.  I miss my family more than I ever realized.  It was so very nice to have Mum & Daddy here for the holidays and to actually celebrate instead of ignoring the holidays.  I want to come home.  Ok, maybe not all the way back to the West Coast but at least much closer than I am today!

Well, Wally is dancing around the room chasing a cow ear.  He's a goof ball!!  Therapy continues and progress is decent.  Standing up from a sitting position is still the hardest thing by far.  :(  HRH and I manage to walk a good mile each day when the weather permits.  He's been great at understanding some days Mommy just can't.  :)

Job search continues.  Nothing exciting has popped up and the one company I've interviewed with hasn't gotten back to me yet.  Extremely frsutrating given how hard they chased me! :(  Oh well, just means there's something better waiting to come along and hopefully bring me closer to home!

So, haven't written in a while and I apologize for that oversight.  I've been busy first looking for a new position and then packing the house once I accepted an offer.

As of this evening, I'm moving to Washington, D.C. in the morning to work for the company that services the Aclea highspeed train between D.C. and Boston.  I'm thrilled that I got a new job so soon after being laid off from Kaman.  I wish I was as thrilled with the position.  It will be ok, afterall it's a job and it's in a city that has plenty to do all the time.

I just got home from Dallas/Fort Worth where I interviewed for the job I'd really like.  It's a managerial position in aerospace and it would be challenging and never boring.  If it happens then it happens and I'll be very thrilled.

Maid service comes in the morning and then I'm off to run a couple of last minute errands before leaving for D.C.
