| Manchester was during the Industrial Revolution the Wealthiest City in the World, A position which has left Manchester with a legacy of possessing some of the grandest buildings in the UK. A 2nd building boom occured in the 1960's and 70's leaving Manchester with grand post-modern skyscrapers such as the CIS tower and 111 Piccadilly. A 3rd Building Boom is underway at the moment as a result of renovation after the 1996 IRA bomb, the booming economy and the demand for City Living. |
